Boston marathon wheelchair winner McFadden to race in London

Boston marathon women's wheelchair winner Tatyana McFadden has confirmed to race for the people of the city at the London Marathon on Sunday.

The 23-year-old American was back at her hotel when two bombs killed at least three spectators at the Boston finishline on Monday, the BBC said.

"I'll be carrying them in my heart as I am running through the course in London," McFadden said.

Japan's Hiroyuki Yamamoto, who won the men's race in Boston, will also take part in London.

A total of 24 wheelchair racers who competed in Boston will be race in London.

London will hold a 30-second silence to remember the victims of the Boston attacks at the start of the London marathon.
