Customs issues IPR data

Shanghai Customs uncovered 106 cases of intellectual property infringement in the first three months of 2013, up 65.6 percent year-on-year, the agency said Thursday.

The cases involved goods valued at 8.98 million yuan ($1.46 million).

Shanghai Customs dealt with 348 intellectual property infringement cases in 2012, involving goods worth 52.8 million yuan. The agency found knockoff Adidas shoes and Polo T-shirts among the goods they confiscated.
