China's Gaofen-1 satellite successfully launched

China successfully put high-definition earth observation satellite Gaofen-1 into orbit on April 26 from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu Province. The domestically designed satellite was launched by Long March 2D carrier rocket, together with three other satellites produced by Ecuador, Argentina and Turkey respectively, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
