127 sickened by N7N9

Another 19 cases of H7N9 infection were confirmed on the Chinese mainland last week, the National Health and Family Planning Commission said on Wednesday.

From April 24 to May 1, 19 people were confirmed to have been infected with the bird flu, bringing the number of H7N9 cases on the mainland to 127. Sixteen people in East China provinces have been sickened by the virus, while three patients are from Hunan and Henan provinces. The virus has killed 26 people and 26 people have recovered.
