Team PNoy, the senatorial candidates of the upcoming Philippine midterm election who assembled under the banner of Aquino administration, remains solid, said Philippine Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte Sunday, denying that there is infighting and its members are engaging in black propaganda.
Valte, in an interview by state radio station, said there were some groups who claim that Team Pnoy candidates were attacking each other, which she said was an observation that she does not agree or believe.
"As far as the administration slate is concerned, they don't engage in black propaganda. And, again, no doubt that Team PNoy is solid," she said.
She added that Team PNoy candidates continue to do well in recent surveys, which also means that voters could see that the administration bets work well with each other.
In the interview, Valte also appealed to voters and supporters of the different candidates to help keep the elections orderly, peaceful and clean.
She said the supporters could show their support for a certain candidates without having to engaging in violence.
A group of gunmen attacked a truck late April in which the mayor of Southern Philippine municipality of Nunungan, Abdul Malik Manamparan, and supporters were riding. Thirteen people, including the mayor's daughter, were killed, while the mayor and nine others received wounds in the incident.
