Organized by China Council for the International Trade (CCPIT) and APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), the 2013 APEC Young Entrepreneurs' Summit (YES), on the theme of "Discover, Share, Grow," will be held in Beijing from May 22 to 24, 2013. As one of the youngest, most dynamic and influential summits, YES serves as the platform for youths to display their talents and channel to exchange with successful entrepreneurs.
This year, YES has received supports from influential people from commercial and cultural industries. A geek who dreamed of marrying his computer at his 11s, a professional brewer who used to be a car engineer, a founder of youth hostel in Tibet who used to be a department manager of computer company - All of them will share their stories in a way similar to "TED Talk."
2013 YES will construct a space for youths to dream. With six main lines - physics, business, morality, techniques, art and music - the summit will be presented in various forms-keynote speech, plenary session, stories telling and include activities like art show and microfilm screening.
YES made its debut in 2012,which stoke a great success. Kevin Michael Rudd, former Prime Minister of Australia commented that it is YES's responsibility and mission to build platforms for young entrepreneurs and to share valuable resources. He also wrote "YES, you rock!" in his Sina Weibo (Chinese equivalent of Twitter). Li Jing, famous TV host and chairman of Fleet Entertainment Co. shared her experience in YES: "Dreams makes me fearless and I count on my team all the time." Dedicated to provide young dreamers in the Asia-Pacific region with successful entrepreneurs' experiences,YES aims at creating a communication platform covering multi-sector, with multi-content and multi-forms.
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is the most influential forum that seeks to promote economic cooperation throughout the Asia-Pacific region with highest level and most mature mechanism. APEC Young Entrepreneurs Summit, together with APEC China CEO Forum and APEC SME Summit,form an important system of Chinese business industry involved in APEC.
