Ukrainian cyclist Tetyana Riabchenko of Chirio Forno D' Asolo won the Tour of Chongming Island World Cup with a huge lead of 12 seconds on Sunday.

Riabchenko, who never won an international race before, clocked three hours four minutes and 17 seconds, outsprinting Italy's Giorgia Bronzini of team Wiggle Honda and Netherland's Amy Pieters of team Argos Shimano in the last stage.

Riabchenko described the victory as an enormous satisfaction.

"I can't believe I've managed to win," said Riabchenko at a news conference after the competition. "I've prepared well for this race but I've never thought of beating them. Luck has been on my side today."

The Tour of Chongming Island World Cup was a 126.8km race via the Pudong International Airport, the Shanghai Yangtze River tunnel and bridge with a passage under sea level.
