Zhengzhou, a city in Henan Province, became the third Chinese city to open a retail outlet for private aircraft on Wednesday, after Beijing and Wuhan. Impressively, the outlet sold two helicopters on the first day.

The store attracted lots of visitors on Wednesday, with some saying the price of the private aircraft is not as expensive as they thought and that "some 2 million yuan ($330,000) can buy an aircraft, which is no less expensive than a luxury car and you can also get away from the horrible traffic in the city."

One of the buyers, surnamed Meng, is a real estate business mogul who claimed the helicopter, worth 2.6 million yuan, is for his business use. Meng said that the store would help him to repair and preserve the vehicle, while his properties and the local airport can offer parking area and fuel.

The store sells aircraft of various sizes, priced between 2 and 20 million yuan. It claims they're not just playthings for the rich, but can serve agricultural, rescue, and filming purposes. Buyers can pay by installment, but the firm noted that permission from the civil aviation sector to fly was necessary before take off, as China's skies are strictly controlled.
