The mother of an underage rape victim in Yongzhou, Hunan Province, said Sunday that the Hunan Provincial Higher People's Court has accepted her appeal demanding compensation and a written apology from the Yongzhou labor re-education committee.

Xu Liping, the lawyer representing Tang, said the time of the trial is not yet known.

Tang's case was rejected by the Yongzhou People's Intermediate Court in April after she was ordered to be confined to a re-education through labor camp for 18 months for making continuous petitions, although she was released five days later. Tang's daughter was kidnapped, raped and forced into prostitution seven years ago. She was forced to perform more than 100 sexual acts.
