The United States has reiterated its call on the DPRK’s leaders to exercise restraint and abide by its international obligations. A spokesman for the US State Department made the remarks in a daily press conference in response to the DPRK’s latest missiles launches.

"To monitoring the situation, and we continue to urge them to exercise restraint and take steps to improve relations with its neighbors," spokesman of US State Department Atrick Ventrellp said.

The State Department cancelled a 5-day visit to Seoul by its special envoy for human rights in the DPRK scheduled for last Sunday, following Pyongang’s missile launches over the past days. Media reports said it was rare for such a cancellation after official information had been issued. But the spokesman said it was due to logistical problems, and not political reasons.
