DPRK state television has released photos of country's leader Kim Jong-un visiting an army unit on Tuesday. It comes two months after his last visit. The state-run television KRT says Kim visited the Battle Research Room and gave instructions on combat preparations.

He also toured buildings including the food warehouse. KRT quoted Kim saying the soldiers of the unit will defend the country "as firm as an iron wall".

Kim’s visit comes amid tensions in the region. The DPRK fired several projectiles over three consecutive days, claiming they were legitimate military drills.
