A total of 39 government organizations, research centers and companies announced that they would open their doors for tourists to visit, the Beijing News reported Monday.

Citizens can register in advance on the website of Beijing Tourism Administration to get the chance to visit these places at a designed date.

The organizations include the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, the Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and companies in the food and culture industries.

Some 124 organizations already open their doors to tourists. On Saturday, more than 3,000 tourists visited those organizations, the maximum capacity.
