One was killed and 30 others were injured in a bus accident on Saturday in Egypt's capital of Cairo, state-run Ahram website reported.
The bus was driving from coastal Alexandria city to Cairo, said the report, adding that the driver lost control of the wheel when he's making U-turn and deviated from the road, crashed into a concert wall, causing the bus to overturn on the desert sub-road.
The accident killed the driver and wounded 30 passengers. The injured were sent to the nearby hospital and some of them are in serious conditions.
Official reports said that road accidents in Egypt kill about 10,000 people every year and the government is working to improve the road services across the country.
The lack of highway security monitoring system, poor road maintenance and the ignorance of traffic rules are behind the high rate of traffic accidents in Egypt.
