The US Congress has released a report, saying the DPRK is not facing a severe food crisis. The report says although children in parts of the country are suffering malnutrition, it's not because of a severe food shortage.

The report also says that the South Korean government has suggested food aid, as part of its efforts to improve ties with the North side. In last year's report, the US said that the DPRK was facing a severe food crisis. The US stopped food aid to the DPRK in 2009. The report says it's not likely the US will resume such a program.
