Switzerland's upper house on Wednesday again backed a deal with Washington to expose US tax dodgers and fine Swiss banks which helped hide their money, a day after G8 leaders agreed to chase cheats and corporate fiddles.

The upper and lower houses are taking different lines on the tax agreement in the midst of controversy in advanced nations about tax evasion and low tax bills by some big firms.
