State-owned enterprises (SOEs) posted faster growth in both revenues and profits year-on-year in the first five months of the year, data from the
Ministry of Finance showed Wednesday.
Revenues of SOEs expanded 10.4 percent year-on-year in the first five months, the data showed.
Profits rose 6.5 percent in the same period from a year earlier, with profits of central government-administered enterprises expanding 13.8 percent and profits of those under local governments declining 10.6 percent.
Sectors including electricity, electronics, construction and real estate saw the biggest profit growth in the period.
