Malaysia's Port Klang International Trade and Halal Industry Development Center Project was launched Monday to help thousands of Chinese enterprises tap overseas markets.
The center will be put into operation on a trial basis this October when special activities will be held to showcase halal products from China.
Currently, the annual trade volume of global halal products stands at $2.1 trillion, with China's share only $2.1 billion, and a lack of halal certification services is one of the contributing factors, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
