On June 16, good news about the 2013 China Rally Championship (CRC) in Chenzhou, Hunan Province came. With the Gleagle GX2, Fan Gaoxiang and Hu Yunfei and other superb riders have achieved the best performance in the CRC 1600cc Class and the second place both individually and as a club in the S2 Class. Geely fleets have spearheaded the homegrown brands in the record of CRC and deeply impressed people by the stunning performance of the Gleagle GX2.

China Rally Championship (CRC) is the top car race in China of the largest scale and strongest influence. Meanwhile, due to the complicated road condition in the race such as dirt and sand-gravel tracks, the race is demanding both to cars and drivers. In CRC, drivers need to have excellent skills, lasting endurance and tough characters; while cars need to undergo a repeated and sophisticated reconstruction. Therefore, CRC is more a test to the engineering level and competence of automakers than a test to the racing cars.

Compared with those experienced overseas brands, the domestic self-owned brands are still immature in terms of the history, racing experience and reengineering know-how. Therefore, in the previous CRC S2 races, the domestic self-owned brands have never won the champions. Despite its modest dimensions, the Gleagle GX2 has strong power. First of all, the body is designed to reduce wind resistance and increase down force, winning drivers more time and better stability. What's more, its cage-shaped body, clothed in high strength steels not only ensures safety, but also allows the car to be further renovated.

During the intense CRC races, the Gleagle GX2 brought its sporty ability and reengineering potential into full play. According to the reporter, CRC will continue its second race in Zhangye, Gansu Province from July 19 to 21, and totally there are another four races in the second half of 2013. We hope that with the Gleagle GX2, Hu Yunfei, Fan Gaoxiang and the entire Geely fleets can gain better achievements in the future races.
