The government of the Philippines (GPH) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) peace panels will resume their formal talks after the holy month of Ramadan, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) said Tuesday.

The news was released after the signing of the wealth-sharing annex of the framework agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB) last Saturday during the 38th round of formal exploratory talks held in Malaysia.

"The panels have agreed to convene again after the Ramadan to continue work on the two remaining annexes -- the annexes on power- sharing and normalization," the OPAPP said.

Muslims in the Philippines has started observing Ramadan, which will end in August, since last week.

The three other remaining annexes that were yet to be signed include wealth-sharing, power-sharing, and normalization. The annex on transitional arrangements and modalities was inked early this year. The FAB and the four annexes will form part of the comprehensive peace agreement that will end the four-decade armed struggle by the Muslim rebels.
