A cement mixer ran over and killed a woman riding her bicycle around 2:15 pm Thursday in Yangpu district, local media reported.

The vehicle crushed the rider after she cut in front of it while making a left turn. The driver saw the woman, but was unable to stop the vehicle in time, according to a report on the news portal xinmin.cn. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said. Police were still investigating Thursday.
