The Lanzhou Military Area Command has despatched 2,0000 soldiers to the quake zone.

Rescue and relief work are in full swing. More than three-hundred soldiers from Dingxi Military sub-area have arrived in the area and started rescue work. Two helicopters have been sent to help evacuate residents.

A team of 30 medical experts from the Lanzhou Military Area Command General Hospital has flown to Minxian County to treat the injured.
