A two-year-old girl, who was thrown to the ground by a man during an argument with her mother over a parking space, was confirmed dead by the Beijing Tiantan Hospital on Friday.

Insiders said the body of the girl was transferred to her home in Daxing district.

The suspect, surnamed Han, clashed with the young mother on Tuesday night in Beijing's Daxing district when his friend tried to park his car beside a bus station along Wudian Lu. Han fled the scene in his friend's car.

The two men have been detained by police, the China News Service reported.
