2007 NBA first pick Greg Oden was to join defending champion Miami Heat on Monday, and he was ready for that.

"After three years of being out, I'm just going to go out and do what I can," said Oden on Saturday.

"If somehow says no, then it says no. But for me, I'm not even worried about that. Just go play and not even think about that.

Oden signed a two-year, 2.17 million dollars contract with the Heat earlier this week. The center hadn't played any NBA game for last three years due to recurrent knew injuries.
