A 103-year-old Brazilian woman skydived in tandem with an instructor, possibly setting the record for the oldest-ever parachute jumper, her instructor said.

Aida Mendes made her skydive on Saturday near the borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, Russia's ITAR-Tass reported on Sunday.

This was her second jump since she turned 100-year-old, though this time she filed paperwork to officially count the jump as record-breaking.

The agency with which she filed paperwork was not reported.

She did a tandem jump from 9,842 feet, accompanied by a cameraman. The jump lasted six minutes, ITAR-Tass said.

"In life you have to be brave, courage is always useful," Mendes said after she landed, adding she's "not going to give up the hobby while her health is good."
