At least two supporters of Egypt's ousted President Mohamed Morsi were killed and dozens wounded late Tuesday in clashes in the southern city of Beni Suef, a security source said.

Hundreds of pro-Morsi protesters marching through the city clashed with local residents, the source said. Security forces on the site intervened and stopped the fighting.

Local media said the two people were killed by live ammunition.
