If you like finding bargains or you are a vintage lover, these Shanghai fashion pop-up markets might be just what you are looking for. Selling everything from retro clothing, discounted design pieces and eco bags to homeware and handmade jewelry, these markets are worth checking out. Mark your calendars - they're only in town for one or two days.

TheINSIDER
Next weekend, theINSIDER, a private pop-up fashion sales event hosted by ParkLU, Shanghai-based online fashion boutique and consultants, will take place once again. "TheINSIDER is the ultimate sales event for Shanghai's fashion community that brings together leading boutiques, independent designers and international brands," said Happy Gao, ParkLU's marketing manager. "Past events have attracted over 1,000 shoppers."
The upcoming edition of theINSIDER will feature over 20 brands and retailers, including American Apparel, Charles Philip, Front Row Shop and OOAK Concept Boutique, offering accessories, clothing, handbags, and beauty and lifestyle products for discounts of up to 70 percent off. The shoppers will also get a chance to have a sneak peek at the ASOS collection for fall 2013. Independent menswear designers will include May J, sneakers by Claes Goran, and eyewear by Ross & Brown.
The event will take place on Saturday August 31, from 1 pm to 6 pm, and on Sunday September 1 from 1 pm to 5 pm at Crea-Infinity, fifth floor, 600 Shaanxi Road North.
There will be an after-party hosted by Monkey Champagne (38 Donghu Road, entrance through Dakota restaurant) on Saturday, August 31 starting at 10 pm. Reloved
Also on Saturday, August 31, Creative Collective, a cooperative open studio aiming to connect and promote the growth of Shanghai's independent creative community, will host "Reloved," a pop-up market featuring vintage (50 years and older), retro clothing (from the 1970s-90s) and secondhand items. The organizers of the event encourage shoppers to be sustainable by giving existing garments and accessories a second chance to be loved. Free drinks and light snacks will be provided.
The event will take place on Lane 108 Changshu Road, House 6, first floor, from 1 pm to 6 pm. Entry is free.

The Flea Market
The Flea Market is coming back for its fifth edition with a new location at Cotton's (294 Xinhua Road). "We have decided to change location to the beautiful Cotton's restaurant in the former French concession to give it a new and exciting taste," said the organizer, Cyrielle Mohara. "We have rented the whole house and garden for the Flea Market to make this event a special shopping experience." The theme this time is Back to School/Work. More than 40 designers will be selling handmade jewelry, eco bags, paintings, vintage finds, homeware, kids' clothing, art, and accessories. Some of the brands that will take part include Ross & Brown, Ankyra Home, Eco & More, Greenwave China, Smart Baby, Shine Fine, and many more. Also expect DJ music, BBQ and lots of drinks by Cotton's, live painting, photography, workshops, and giveaways. "Sweet tunes will be playing all day long by our resident DJ," said Mohara. "Chinese artist Caucasso will play his vintage collection of records and Chris from The Secret Seven will propose 100 secret bags each containing unique objects from an artist's studio." Baibal Ladiga will do personalized fashion sketching for the most stylish visitors, so come with your best outfit. "Our previous events brought more than 4,000 excited shoppers eager to discover new brands, designers and creative people, craving for yummy food," said Mohara.
