Geely ranks 6th on China's Top 500 Private Enterprises 2013

Recently, the 2013 List of China's Top 500 Private Enterprises was officially released. With total business revenue of 154.8 billion yuan, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group was listed the 6th of China's Top 500 Private Enterprises and the 5th of China's Top 500 Private Manufacturing Enterprises.

According to the data from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), in 2012, Geely has contributed 8.7 billion yuan in taxes, ranking the 4th among the Top 500 Private Enterprises. As for the technological innovation and patents, in 2012, Geely has obtained 5,536 patents including 168 patents for invention, being the third place among the Top 500 Private Enterprises.  

Established in 1986, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group has committed to the manufacturing business, technological innovation and talent training for years and gained a rapid development since 1997 when it entered into the auto industry. Currently, the Group owns three car companies: Geely Automobile Holdings, Volvo Cars and the London Taxi Company, and its auto products cover the low and middle end market as well as the high end market. What's more, having been one of China's Top 500 Enterprises for ten consecutive years and one of China's Top 10 Auto Manufactures for eight consecutive years, Geely has been recognized as one of the "Most Innovative Enterprises in China" and the "Finished-Vehicle Export Base in China". In 2012, Geely successfully made it to the Fortune Global 500 list, becoming the only privately owned Chinese carmaker on the list. 

China's Top 500 Private Enterprises are selected based on the ACFIC's research on above-scale private enterprises. In order to know the operation and development situation of China's middle and large-scale private enterprises, since 1999, ACFIC has carried out its annual research on China's above-scale private enterprises for 15 consecutive years. Through the continuous survey on the operation status, industry features and business management of middle and large-scale private enterprises, ACFIC's research is aimed to provide data for analyzing the development trend of private economy, studying the law of private enterprises' development as well as finding the problems and difficulties that exist in the development of private enterprises.
