At least 13 people were confirmed dead in the Washington Yard mass shooting, including a suspect who has been identified as 34-year-old Aaron Alexis, law enforcement officials said Monday afternoon.

We sent thoughts and prayers to all at the Navy Yard that have been touched by the tragedy. The federal and local authorities should work closely together to investigate the incident thoroughly and to hold those whoever carried out this "cowardly act" responsible.

It will be interesting to see as this develops who the shooter is, how he got in. Right now a lot of people are wondering just how safe the building is or just how safe the office environment is.
