China's Liu Shiwen wins 1st match at women's table tennis World Cup

Defending champion Liu Shiwen beat South Korea's Seok Hajung in the first match at women's table tennis world cup on Saturday.

Now World No.1 Liu started well by 11-1 in the first set.Then she won another three games in succession by 11-6,11-4 and 13-11.

"Cause it is group game, adapting to circumstance is priority, " Liu told Xinhua at the end of the race.

Singapore player Feng Tianwei, who was born in China, overcame an early setback by beating Fukuhara Ai at 4-2. After losing the first two sets, Feng won four straight victories.

Liu will fight Yu Mengyu from Singapore on Sunday morning.

The 2013 women's table tennis World Cup, one of the table tennis "grand slam" events, attracted 20 players from 15 countries and regions.
