The military band of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) and the Australian Army Band held their second joint concert on Monday in Sydney after their first leg in Canberra.

The concert was held in Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre on Monday night, which is the last part of events of Australia- China Military Culture and Friendship week held in Australia.

This is the first time the PLA has attended a culture and friendship week in a western country. During the show, the PLA played seven pieces of Chinese music alone in the first half and then joined hands with its Australian counterpart performing together another 11 pieces of world famous music in the second half.

The 3-hour performance has won warm applause from two thousands of audiences.

The Chinese Consul-general in Sydney Li Huaxin and senior officers from Australian Army attended the concert, before which the two sides held a closing ceremony of the seven-day Culture and Friendship week events.

The military bands from the two nations staged their first concert in Australian National University in Canberra on Sept. 25.
