Iran's Esteghlal soccer club is ready to defeat FC Seoul in the second leg game of the Asian Champions League (ACL) semifinals, Esteghlal coach Amir Ghalenoei was quoted as saying by Tehran Times daily on Wednesday.

The Iranian outfit lost 2-0 at Seoul in the first leg last week and will play the second leg in Tehran Azadi Stadium on Wednesday.

The situation is retrievable in Tehran but Esteghlal will be without star international midfielders Javad Nekounam and Andranik Teymourian, who are suspended after picking up yellow cards in Korea, according to the report.

"We lost the first leg because of our players' mistakes. It's while Esteghlal put FC Seoul under pressure in the first leg," Ghalenoei said in the pre-match news conference.

"With the support of our fans, I believe that Esteghlal can score two goals. Our players are mentally prepared to defeat their rivals," he added.

FC Seoul is on an unbeaten run of 12 games domestically. Six South Korean teams have been crowned champion of Asia but FC Seoul had never progressed past the quarter-finals before this season.
