The links to the Google Malaysia search engine was redirected to a false website after a hacker attack on Friday, regulators said.

MyNIC, the sole agency responsible for .my domain names in Malaysia, confirmed that there was unauthorized redirection of www. google.com.my and www.google.my to another IP address by a group which called themselves TeaM MADLEETS.

It said in a statement that the problem was alerted in early morning and MYNIC Computer Security Incident Response Team

immediately started to resolve the issue.

It said the domain name www.google.com.my has been restored to correct information.
