A man who was found guilty for killing three and injuring three others in a drunk driving accident last year was executed on October 11, the Shanghai-based Oriental Morning Post reported.

A Shanghai court found Huang Shihua, 47, was inebriated when he attempted a hit and run after rear ending a taxi on the Nanliu highway in Pudong New Area on February 11, 2012.

As Huang sped away, the taxi driver, Shen Jianguo, jumped on the car’s hood to prevent him from leaving the scene. Huang then collided with another car, a yellow QQ sedan, which exploded upon impact. Shen and the car’s two passengers were killed.

A county-level court in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region acquitted a groomsman accused of raping his friend's newlywed bride after she mistakenly crawled into his bed on her wedding night.

The court ruled that the sex was consensual between the bride surnamed Huang and groomsman surnamed Ruan, who was staying at the couple's countryside home after their wedding ceremony on August 30.

A mummified corpse dressed in the garb of a Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) official was unearthed from a tomb in Zhoukou, Central China’s Henan Province on October 9, the Zhengzhou-based Dahe Daily reported.

The long braided and decorated queue, a mandated hairstyle during the Qing Dynasty, was found intact on the well-preserved mummy. However, the body decayed rapidly shortly after being excavated.
