Geely sales up 16% in first nine months

According to the announcement by Geely Holding Group, a Chinese automotive manufacturing company headquartered in Zhejiang Province, the company sold over 43,000 cars in September, 2013, the same year-on-year increase as last year, and a month-on-month increase of 22 percent. The total sales volume for the first nine month of this year stood at 375,800, up 16 percent year-on-year, accomplishing 67 percent of the 560,000 units year target.  

In September, Geely exported 8,488 cars, a drop of 27 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile 35,000 Geely cars were sold in domestic market, 10 percent more than last September. 

During September, Emgrand EC 7, Geely's best seller saw a total sales volume of 15,100 units, a slight year-on-year increase of 1 percent. For Geely's SUV, GX7 and SX7's combined sales volume stood at 5,715, up 26 percent over last year. Also, Geely sold a total of 4,607 GC7 in September, a year-on-year jump of a whopping 335 percent. All the three models set sales record in September.
