At least 11 people were killed and 28 others injured in a bus accident in Morocco early Thursday, local media reported.

The bus heading from Essaouira to Agadir along the Atlantic coast of the north African country overturned when the driver lost control in a difficult area near the town of Tamanar, 520 km south of Rabat, said the national radio.

Tens of the passengers were critically injured and were sent to the nearby hospitals.
