Australia's Masters champion Adam Scott has taken the lead after the second round at the Australian PGA Championship on the Gold Coast, local media reported on Friday.

The world No. 2 finished his round on Friday at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast for an overall score of 10-under par, two shots clear of overnight leader American Rickie Fowler and Australian David McKenzie at 9-under overall.

Scott, 33, fired a 4-under-par in the second and moved into a clear lead when McKenzie bogeyed the par-4 13th to fall behind to a tie for second with overnight leader Rickie Fowler at 8-under.
