Two suspects have been arrested for recycling kitchen waste oil at the Xingfu 131 chain restaurant on Xizang Road South, local media reported Wednesday.

The two suspects recycled the used hotpot oil by adding ginger and green onions. They then reserved it at the restaurant. Authorities also found that the Xingfu 131 restaurants in Huangpu, Changning, and Jing'an districts were also recycling their waste oil.
