The statement said at the commemorative summit, the ASEAN-Japan leaders would adopt the vision statement "Hand in hand, facing regional and global challenges," while the Mekong-Japan summit would adopt the mid-term review of the Tokyo Strategy 2012 for Mekong-Japan Cooperation.

After attending the two summits, Hun Sen will pay an official working visit to Japan from Dec. 15-17, the statement said, adding that he will hold a bilateral talk with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe.

The two leaders will also preside over the signing ceremony of four documents, it said. One of the documents is the memorandum on defense cooperation and exchanges between the two countries' defense ministries.

The other three documents are related to the Japanese assistance for Cambodian road and hospital development and Angkor Wat Temple restoration.
