A senior official of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) Wednesday called for better child protection as some cases of domestic and school violence are reported late.

Tan Lin, secretary of the secretariat of the ACWF, made the remarks at a promotional event against violence against children, admitting that social services can barely meet the needs of victims of violence.

Tan said that violence targeting children has posed great challenges to countries worldwide and called for a crackdown, hoping that the event could help protect children.
