At least eight people were killed when a truck crashed into more than 10 vehicles that were lined up behind an overturned sedan on the highway from Zigong to Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, on Sunday.

About 26 people were injured, seven severely.

The truck accident occurred at around 4 pm, at a section of about 94 kilometers away from Chengdu. The truck caught fire in the accident, the West China City Daily reported.
