Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Sunday issued republican decrees approving decision by the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) on partial cabinet reshuffle.

Al-Bashir, in separate decrees, copies of which were obtained by Xinhua, approved appointment of Gen. Bakry Hassan Salih as First Vice-President, Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman as Vice- President and Ibrahim Ghandour as Assistant to the President of the Republic.

According to the decrees, al-Bashir also approved the NCP list of ministers for the new cabinet. The ruling NCP earlier announced that the cabinet reshuffle confined only to the party ministers, noting that the ministers of other parties would remain in their posts.

The newly appointed ministers are expected to be sworn in Monday.
