CBA’s MVP of Week 3

The Fujian Sturgeons' Wang Zhelin was named the MVP of Week 3, the CBA (Chinese Basketball Association) announced Monday.

The 19-year-old scored 66 points and grabbed 30 rebounds during Week 3 (Rounds 6 to 8), when the Sturgeons only won one game against the Bayi Rockets on November 24. The promising center scored 11 free throws in his 12 attempts.

The next game (Round 12) for Fujian will be on Wednesday night against the Jilin Northeast Tigers.

Shelden Williams of the Tianjin Golden Lions was named the foreign MVP of the week, offering 80 points and 41 rebounds for Tianjin's two wins against the Dongguan Leopards and the Foshan Long Lions. The former NBA player joined Tianjin in October.
