Tong Mingqian, a senior political advisor in Central China's Hunan Province, has been removed from his post for suspected serious disciplinary violations, the Party's organization department said Saturday.

Tong had served as vice chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Authorities are investigating into his case according to the procedure, said a statement of the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
