Iran will suspend 20 percent uranium enrichment on Monday voluntarily, Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali-Akbar Salehi said.
Iran and the world powers will start implementing the Joint Plan of Action on Monday and in line with the agreements, Iran will suspend its 20 percent uranium enrichment, the official IRNA news agency quoted Salehi as saying on Monday.
Iran and the P5+1 group are "on the way to solve the fabricated crisis against the country's peaceful nuclear program," Salehi said, adding that "the implementation of the Geneva deal requires introductory steps and the measures by both sides will take time."
"The IAEA inspectors are in Iran since two days ago for preparing the ground for implementing the Geneva deal and now they are in Natanz," he said, noting that "We will disconnect the links between the centrifuge cascades in Natanz and in Fordow ( enrichment sites) and will suspend 20 percent uranium enrichment today."
According to the earlier agreement reached by the Islamic republic and the P5+1 group, Iran will start to freeze part of its nuclear activities on January 20 for six months in return for limited easing in the sanctions against its economy.
