Four rockets fired from Syrian territory on Friday hit Lebanon's east Bekaa city of Hermel, causing no casualties, the state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported.
The NNA said that a rocket fired from Syria's Mashari al-Qaa heights fell on the road leading to al-Kweikh village on the al- Qasr-Hermel highway Friday morning, adding that "another three rockets launched from Syria's eastern mountain belt landed in several areas in Hermel later afternoon."
The report said that "only material damage was reported."
Syrian rebel fighters have claimed responsibility for firing lots of rockets landed in Hermel.
Lebanese President Michel Suleiman has repeatedly called for " adopting all necessary procedures to protect citizens and Lebanese towns and prevent any attack against them."
