Three schoolchildren were killed Monday when mortar shells landed at a school in central Syria, official SANA news agency reported.
The mortars, launched by armed rebels, hit the school at Rabia town in Hama province, said SANA.
Several schools in Syria have been attacked by mortars and bombs, causing the death of many students.
The last attack that invovled the death of students took place last November when five pupils were killed by a mortar shell that struck their mini bus in the capital of Damascus.
Many Syrians have stopped sending their kids to schools, especially in areas suffering daily mortar attacks from rebels near Damascus.
