At least 15 people were killed and 127 others injured on Saturday as a fire hit a hotel in western Saudi City Medina, Saudi official news agency reported.
The fire broke out at 2:33 pm local time (GMT 1133) at the hotel located in the central area of the holy city, and most of the injured suffered smoke inhalation, the reported quoted a statement of the Medina District government as saying.
Around 700 guests were staying at the hotel, and most of them are pilgrims with various nationalities to perform Omra pilgrimage.
Medina Governor, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, has ordered to find alternative accommodations for the rest guests of the hotels and provide them with all their requirements.
An investigation has been launched into the fire, which was controlled at around 5:00 pm local time.
