A Palestinian official said on Tuesday that US Secretary of State John Kerry has not set a date to propose his framework plan for peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

Majdi al-Khaldi, adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on diplomatic affairs, told the official Voice of Palestine radio that Abbas would discuss more peace ideas with Kerry during their meeting on Wednesday in the French capital of Paris.

"Peace talks are going to end in late April. This means we still have time to continue discussions to reach a solution," he added.

On Monday, a well-informed Palestinian official told Xinhua that Abbas and Kerry would discuss the framework peace plan supposed to be proposed before the peace negotiations end in April.

Abbas and Kerry last met on Jan. 4 in the West Bank city of Ramallah. Their meeting slated for Wednesday comes ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to the United States in early March.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu rejected on Monday the Palestinians' proposal to deploy international forces in a future Palestinian state after reaching a peace deal with Israel.

The US-mediated peace negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians have not made any tangible progress since they restarted last July.
