A total of 20 people have been killed and 718 injured in political violence in Thai capital Bangkok since Nov. 30 last year, the latest figures released by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Erawan Emergency Medical Service Center on Monday show.

The latest victims include a six-year-old girl, who was wounded in a bomb explosion in the capital on Sunday afternoon and pronounced dead in the morning, and a policeman who was injured during a clash with anti-government protesters on Feb. 18 and died at noon.

The Sunday blast left another two dead, including a 12-year-old boy, and 21 injured.

Caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Sunday evening condemned the use of violence that cost many lives, especially the lives of children.

On Saturday night, a five-year-old girl was also killed in shooting and bomb explosion at a protest site in central Trat province.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has also called for an immediate end to Thailand's escalating violence, and urged all sides to hold dialogue to solve the current crisis.

A soldier was reportedly wounded by gun shot on early Monday morning in Bangkok. It remains unknown whether the incident is related to the current political situation.

Protesters on Monday moved from various rally sites in the capital to ministries of finance, energy and foreign affairs, Voice TV station and some other locations, as part of an ongoing campaign to attack Shinawatra family businesses.
