Three policemen were killed in a terror blast in Bahrain. The Interior Ministry said the policemen died while dispersing a group of anti-government protestors who gathered illegally in Daih village, police said on Monday.
"Three policemen died in a terror blast in Daih while police were dispersing rioters," said the ministry in statement adding details will be released later.
This is the deadliest attack on security force since 2011 in which three policemen died on a single day in a terror blast.
Scores of anti-government protestors gathered in Daih village following the third day funeral procession of Jaffar Durazi. He was in custody on suspicion of weapons smuggling.
Mr Al Durazi died last month at the country's main hospital Salmaniya Medical Complex as he suffered from sickle cell anaemia.
